June Rollins' watercolor: view From My Window A Note From Rob ...
Week of February 14, 2010

The Bible is full of stories that paint word pictures in our minds. My over-creative imagination sees the scene in living color and often in movie form. Unfortunately, that is as far as it goes. My talent or ability to recreate what I see for others to see is just not there. How about you? Do you ever read a story and it comes to life for you?

Our Gospel lesson this week is one of those scenes for me. So as not to spoil your creative efforts, please stop now and read Luke 9: 28-36.

Welcome back!! How did it look to you? What did Jesus look like? How about the tents or booths? What did the voice sound like? Was it a big booming voice or a still small one? What were the colors in the scene?

Now imagine that you are there as well. You have been invited to ascend the mount of Transfiguration with Jesus. Are you standing close to him?

This Sunday I want to invite you to experience a Holy moment. No booths but an opportunity to have a life-changing event.

     See you then!
