A Note From Rob ...

     As you have no doubt heard we will be taking out the organ console, reconditioning and enhancing the organ that has served First United Methodist Church for 45 years. April 18, 2010 will be the last “official” worship service in which the organ will be played.

     A special worship service is planned. Charles will play, the choir will sing and the focus of worship will be on the praise of God through music in or worship.

     I hope you will take this opportunity to join other FUMC sisters and brothers in this historic service.

     In the coming months we will see some changes in the sanctuary and hope to see the project completed by the end of September, 2010.

     We have had a good response from the campaign to secure the funds and are hoping for 100% participation from each member toward the project as an investment in future worship as we have been the beneficiaries of the generosity of those who have gone before us.

     I look forward to praising God in his sanctuary this Sunday with you.
