A Note From Rob ...
Circles and Getting Ahead has given us a new way of looking at life and a new vocabulary. Each week the meeting
begins and ends with special activities.
We begin each week with something called, “New and Good.” It is one thing that is both new and good. The purpose of
this is to begin our time together with a focus on something positive. It helps us to think of positive things. Paul wrote in
Philippians 4, “that is there was anything worthy of praise, to think on these things.”
We conclude each meeting with “Appreciations.” This is an opportunity to tell someone something we appreciate about
them. Again, many never hear an encouraging word. This helps us look for and express something good in and to another.
In both of these exercises the one who shares and the one who hears is blessed.
Also, a bulletin board is present that is divided in two sections. One is entitled, “I Need.” The other half is entitled, “I
Have” or “I Can.”
We will begin to add to our newsletter these opportunities. They are offered in the spirit of building up and sharing in
community.
So, please share the in writing to any staff member, leave a message, email or another concrete manner. These share New
and Good events, Appreciations, Needs and Abilities for the building up of the community of the faithful.
Please don’t tell us in passing, given my memory, this may be a sure way to have something left out!
Blest be the tie that binds.
