A Note From Rob ...

     There is a distant memory of a recording from Brother Dave Gardner, a southern comic. He had a story about family meal from the perspective of a little boy. It was entitled, if memory serves me correctly, “Please pass the biscuits.”

     It centered on a little boy at the end of the table and the line while the biscuits were being passed around the table.

     He was ignored in the tradition of children are not to be heard and it is a humorous story about how he saw his probability of getting a biscuit.

     This Sunday we will take time for a family meal. Biscuits will not be passed around but bread for your spiritual journey will be shared. No iced tea will be sipped but a seal of a new covenant with God will be shared.

     All will have a place at the table and a part of the meal.
