A Note From Rob ...

Scott Peck wrote a book entitled, People of the Lie. It was a look at evil. I must tell you it is a scary book. I had to put it down several times, often for years. The frightening reality of the book is that I began to see people I knew described in the book as evil. I noticed characteristics he described as evil that I acknowledged in my own life.

I found some comfort in the fact that he said the unexamined life and narcissism that would lead one to conclude that others are evil and not the individual. Sort of like coming to church and admitting to be a hypocrite. Evil will not allow such a dichotomy.

I hope you will join us this Sunday as we take a look at the last phrases of the Lord’s Prayer. May we be delivered from evil and the evil one.
