A Note From Rob ...

This Sunday we will move back into the Sanctuary. The organ will be installed and most of the enhancements will be operational. The remainder will be completed in the near future. I promise you it will be an awesome sound.

This Sunday is also World Communion Sunday. This is the time we celebrate the Lord's Supper or the Eucharist with our sisters and brothers around the globe. Not only are we gathering around the table of our Lord with our church family and with those around the globe, we are also gathering with those who have lived and died in the faith.

Somehow this is fitting as we hear the sounds of an organ that was made possible through the generosity of those who have gone before us. We will assemble in a sanctuary built and provided by faithful and hopeful United Methodists 50 years ago.

This is our Jubilee year. The sanctuary was built 50 years ago. In the Old Testament it was a time of homecoming, forgiveness and new beginnings. I hope we can celebrate a Jubilee year at First UMC to the glory of God and as faithful witnesses of His redeeming grace.

What better time to begin than on our first Sunday back in the sanctuary around the table of our Lord.

Jesus of Nazareth invites you to a dinner to be given in His honor. A place at the table and He is waiting.
