We are indeed fortunate to have a wide variety of musical instruments at First United Methodist Church. The main organ is a 22-rank Moller instrument, and is one of the finest organs in the area. Additionally we have a smaller pipe organ in the Chapel. Other instruments include a grand piano in the sanctuary, a full range of Orff tuned-percussion instruments, 4 octaves of handbells, and a Kurzweil digital keyboard. In December, 2001 we were fortunate to receive the gift of a 222-bell carillon. The carillon plays 3 times daily, and enhances our presence in downtown Wadesboro.
- CHANCEL CHOIR -- The Chancel Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. to provide music for the Sunday morning worship service. Its membership is a cross-section of our church family.
- JOYFUL NOISE -- Joyful Noise is made up of youth from grades 7-12. They sing, play instruments, and provide music for worship service and other occasions. They meet at 5:00 p.m. (before UMYF) on Sunday evening.
